SIRYSIAN / SIRYSIES

Sirysies stand an intimidating 9 feet on average, with certain sub-species ranging between 7-8 and 10-12. Females are usually taller than males. There are three common genders among all breeds of Sirysies. Male, Female, ‘Norshire’, a gender with the physical attributes and reproductive organs of a male and the internal setup of a female. Norshire are highly respected in Sirysian culture.

On average all Sirysies are built for agile aggression, their bodies muscled but lean to allow for superior hand to hand and high level evasive manoeuvres. They are excellent jumpers and can easily clear twice their height, however they are not built for quick turns or flexibility, a confined Sirysian is clumsy without its ability to jump, roll or lunge.

Sirysian markings are usually bright and eye-catching shades of red, blue, green, orange or purple, while their main fur is dull and often darker colours such as greys, browns and blacks. Though lighter colours do occur it is far less often, a white Sirysian is so rare the chances of one being born are roughly 1 in 28,000.

Two armed Sirysies are highly unlikely; they are considered runts and/or mutations and often killed at birth. A six armed Sirysian is just as unlikely, though they are often highly respected and valued in Sirysian culture, often trained as warriors or hunters. An eight armed Sirysian is considered myth in most locations, however their most revered icon is an eight armed white Sirysian female, and there are many ancient depictions of eight armed Sirysies, suggesting that it was once a commonality.

Overview

Physique & Appearance

Personalities & Temperment

Sirysies are desert dwelling beast folk that stand an approximate 9 feet tall. There are exactly eight sub-species, all of which were formally recognized in the late 18-40BTD based on both physical and mental differences. Most Sirysies are omnivores with exceptions for both the Snake-Eyed and Notonmitre sub-species who are both strict herbivores.

Sirysies all share common features of between four to six arms, powerful jaws made for crushing, thick legs with hooves or thickly clawed feet, a long prehensile tongue and a tufted tail often used for show and ranking. Their body structures are often very muscular and lean, built for quick and agile primal fighting, except in the case of Shadow-skins who are strictly evasive and non-threatening.

Sirysies have very fragile mental capabilities, often subjected to insanity at young ages based on external stimuli. Magius is also a strong factor, as Sirysies are very susceptible to magical energies. As such their culture highly forbids the use/exploration of magical talent, despite the fact their kind are all gifted with the elements of fire, water and earth.

Sirysies are docile creatures by nature, they don’t outwardly seek to harm or cause undue trouble for others, but their culture leaves little room for a loving upbringing. Sirysies often bond through group sexual activities, savage fights that can often lead to death, violent reminders of rank and a variety of other things. They are not quick to anger, but do take an extremely long time to calm and many males have temperament issues in their later years.

Sirysies are often bold, daring, brutally honest, supportive, tough-loving, rough and loyal, though certain sub-species such as the Devil-Horns have lost many of their racial traits.

Sirysies typically have an IQ of around 160 but they can advance very quickly with the right stimuli. Once a Sirysian reaches around 185 IQ they often go mad, thus they are born into a culture that limits as many chances to expand their knowledge as possible. I Knowledgeable Sirysian will lose their mind within years and more often than not will become an insatiable fiend that hunts, kills and destroys anything within reach. The laugh of a crazed Sirysian is blood curdling.

Sirysies live in medium to large colonies consisting of around fourty females and twenty males, and are almost always lead by a female elder who uses extract from the Ponperu plant to postpone madness. An elder Sirysies will have an IQ of 200 and up, but will eventually fall into insanity at around 240. In Sirysian culture males are considered tools of the trade, they raise and care for the children, prepare food and ensure the females are living in optimal conditions.

Female Sirysians are able to both conceive and impregnate other females, while males can only impregnate, as such males are often considered useless, and in some tribes banished once they reach maturity. Sirysies are also able to breed with certain Pellials and Iumentis, but it is rare these matings will produce healthy/living offspring.
